Red Lake Forest Development
Forest Development is responsible for all management activities necessary to establish, promote, enhance and maintain forest productivity and health. This includes such activities tree planting and associated site preparation, thinning, pruning young trees, and establishing and maintaining seed orchards.

To support the reforestation efforts, the tribe operates a greenhouse which raises containerized seedlings of red pine, white pine, and jack pine with lesser amounts of white spruce, tamarack and northern white cedar. A new greenhouse complex is currently under construction which will have the capacity of raising 1,000,000 seedlings each year.
